I don’t always jump on the hot topics. But this one is fajita sizzling hot! We are in a BOOM right now. Especially here in the San Francisco Bay Area. New business and new people are flocking to this area. Money is changing hands like a hot potato. And everyone has a different story to tell.
You no longer are required to have large investors or spotless credit to finance your brilliant ideas. You have an alternative…CROWDFUNDING! I’m excited about this modern way of financing new businesses and ideas. Not just because I profit from supporting clients who need it, but because it is a game changer for the economy as we know it.
I like the ratio. Some studies say 40 % of crowdfunding campaigns get funded and some studies report that as low as 10% of every campaign launched reaches their financial goal. Why would I like these odds? Well, crowdfunding is a good test of the market. If no one likes your idea or if not enough people see value in the service offered, chances are the service or product presented won’t do well in the real world either. And of course there is always the MARKETING component. Marketing your campaign effectively can make a world of difference. Yes, I have to plug my services and expertise.
